Chipletti
Chipletti was a Cambridge-based semiconductor startup founded in 2025 by Kauser Johar and Catriona Wright, with a mission to develop a new generation of energy-efficient AI inference accelerators for real-time Physical AI applications. Its research focused on overcoming the memory bottleneck through novel 3D-stacked SRAM and memory-first computing architectures. Supported by an angel investment round, the UK Government’s ChipStart programme and Innovate UK research grants, including collaborative work with imec, Chipletti developed proprietary architecture IP, filed two patent applications, built an ONNX-based performance simulator and contributed to academic research with the University of Cambridge, including the MemExplorer paper.
